The house shares it´s cute backyard with Töpferhof1. Perfect for two grown-ups and up to two children..
The preservation order for houses inside the city walls of the old town leads to solid reconstrution of the old house with wooden windows, oak beams and clay bricks. We used natural materials like regional pine for the flooring, weatherproof larch for the back front. Clay plaster and half-timbering create an authentic feeling of living. On the ground floor there is a wood-burning stove, the central heating works with gas and is supported by solar energy.
The location is perfect: Quiet side street, sunny courtyard ... in the middle of the small town center.
Ground floor: Fully equipt kitchen-cum-living-room, wood-stove
Upper floor: Sleeping room with a big double bed and two single mattress, bathroom with WC and shower
Back yard: cosy, with garden furniture and bicycle shed
House 1 and house 2 have connecting doors on each level and can be rented together.
For many people the northern Saxony-Anhalt still is Terra Incognita. This unknown land lies halfway between Wolfsburg and Berlin. Too far for an afternoon trip; too far from the sea, from the Alps, from the motorway.
This is a pity, because only a few people discover Tangermünde. The wide landscape along theriver, and Tangermünde dream a thousand year old sleep. So old is the city; in 2009 the millennium was celebrated.
It´s 200 km from Hannover or Hamburg and only 120 km from Berlin to Tangermünde. The little old town is very close to Stendal. You can reach Tangermünde by train via Stendal, on bicycle traveling on the Elbe cycling track, by boat traveling on the river Elbe or by car via Magdeburg, Wolfsburg or Rathenow. Tangermünde is a stopover on the St. James Way from Brandenburg to Saxony Anhalt.
