This Irish holiday cottage on Bere Island in Bantry Bay in the south of Ireland is located far from the usual tourist hotspots.
This old Irish stone house has been newly developed inside and furnished in a modern style. It sits in a totally peaceful location on a 6,000 square-metre plot of land.
You can enjoy unobstructed views of Bantry Bay and the open Atlantic from the kitchen, the living room, the conservatory and the terrace.
The sea, a bathing bay and the cliffs are just a few minutes' walk/drive away.
Head off on hikes along the cliffs or through the hilly landscape for some magnificent views. You can also go cycling, fishing or enjoy a boat trip.
It's an area without much tourism, hardly any traffic, and with a friendly, helpful local population. What's more, there's a sea view from nearly every room in the house.
Bere Island sits in Bantry Bay and is regularly serviced by two ferry lines that depart almost hourly in summer. The Ring of Beara with its typical Irish villages, stone circles and the wild Atlantic Way is a perfect place for lots of day trips.
It's advisable to get here by car. 2 car ferries regularly sail to the island from Castletownbere.
