Holiday destination
Our holiday apartment is located in the village of Buren on the beautiful island of Ameland, also known as "Waddendiamant Ameland," offering you shops, restaurants, cafes, and many leisure activities. An indoor swimming pool and two supermarkets are also available. It is surrounded by meadows and nature reserves, yet only a few hundred meters from the village itself. In just a few minutes' walk, you can reach the wide Amelander sandy beach - the main town Nes is also only about 3 km away.
Getting there
Arrival is easy by car to the ferry terminal in Holwerd from all directions. If you wish to take your car to the island, we recommend making a car reservation in advance at www.wpd.nl.
If you prefer to travel by train, your destination station is usually Leeuwarden - from there, you can quickly and comfortably take a taxi to Holwerd for about 40 euros, or even more affordably with a subsequent bus ride. By taxi, depending on traffic, the journey takes about 30 minutes - by bus, it takes around 50 minutes.
