Holiday destination
Our holiday home is locate at the edge of the village of Lohr-Steinbach near the castle hut. It is located in the Spessart natural park at the mouth of the Buchental.
Our multifaceted nature of fields, meadows mixed forests provide for leisure activities of all types.
Within a radius of about 20 km there are the typical Franconian towns of Gemünden, Karlstad, Marktheidenfeld and a bit further on, Wertheim and Miltenberg.
The water castle of Mespelbrunn and the wild animal park with climbing area in Heigenbrücken is worth a visit.
At the end of July there is the Spessart festival week, the fifth season of the Lohr.
Würzburg and Aschaffenburg can be reached by bus, train or car in no time.
Getting there
From Frankfurt:
A3 exit at Weibersbrunn, towards Lohr over the Main to Steinbach
From the direction of Giessen:
A66 Gelnhausen-Ost exit, continue on the B276 through the Flörsbachtal to Lohr.
There cross the Rhine to Steinbach
From the direction of Kassel:
A7 Hammelburg exit, toward Gemünden, there cross the Main, then continue to Steinbach.
From the direction of Nuremberg/Ulm:
A3 Würzburg-Rottendorf exit, through Würzburg, B27 towards Fulda via Karlstadt, there cross the main through Wiesenfeld to Steinbach.
From the direction of Stuttgart:
A81 the Würzburg Triangle, continue on the A3 toward Frankfurt. Exit at Marktheidenfeld, towards Lohr, there cross the Main to Steinbach.

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt bzw. übertroffen!
Ein Ferienhaus mit einer ganz außergewöhnlichen Ausstattung, mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail.
Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben es uns nicht leicht gemacht wieder abzufahren.
Die Gegend hat uns als Wanderer natürlich sehr angesprochen und wir haben tolle Touren gemacht, leider hatten viele der Gastwirtschaften geschlossen.
Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen und würden jeder Zeit noch einmal vorbeikommen.

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage hier. Das Buchbachhäusle ist mit ganz viel Liebe gemacht worden. Die Inneneinrichtung ist mit ganz viel Phantasie ausgestattet. Es gat uns an nichts gefehlt. Vielen Dank an Fam. Helfrich, dass wir hier ein paar Tage verbringen durften
