If the lessee withdraws from the rental contract up to 6 weeks prior to arrival, we charge a cancellation fee of EUR 50.00 . If you cancel 6 weeks prior to arrival, we charge 50% of the total rental price. If you cancel 4 weeks prior to arrival, we charge 100% of the total rental price.

Schierke is located 600m above sea level, at the foot of the Brocken and Winterberg. The region is a paradise for hikers, skiers, cross-country skiers, cyclists and mountain bikers. The Wurmberg ski area is 12 km away. Cross-country skiing trails start right at the village border and run through the countryside. Ice skaters will also get their money's worth, of course. And the summer toboggan run "Brocken-Coaster" guarantees lots of fun for the whole family - even without snow!

The exclusive holiday home "Mountain forest lodge Blickfang" in the idyllic village of Schierke (in the municipality of Wernigerode) offers all kinds of possibilities for tailor-made holiday planning thanks to its exclusive location in the Bode Valley with a view of Wurmberg and Winterberg. The high quality log house with a feel-good ambience lies nestled on a quiet hillside property, only a short walk from the village centre and Brocken hiking trail.
Getting there
Coming from Wernigerode, you can reach our accommodation by taking the Friedrichstraße (L100) / follow the road to Schierke and turn left (sloped) at the junction.
After approx. 500 metres you will see our Bergwaldlodge on the slope on the right-hand side. Parking is available directly in front of our houses -at the foot of the slope- or on the slope, behind the houses/by the storage facilities.
Coming from Braunlage, take the B27 to Elend, then follow the main road (L99) towards Schierke; make a left and continue to the junction, where you turn left (sloped) as described above.

We are Astrid and Thomas Rader from Hannover. Five years ago, we fell in love with this small mountain village at the foot of the Brocken mountain, and in 2015 we decided to build an exclusive block house for holidaymakers.
Since we like contrasts, we chose to decorate our log house with exclusive, modern and yet comfortable furniture. We want you to feel right at home and have all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. In our opinion, the furnishings and amenities, especially the well equipped kitchen, leave nothing to be desired. Experience everything this lodge has to offer and share your impressions with us. We look forward to receiving your feedback. However, if there's something you don't like or you find that something is missing, please let us know about it as well.

Wir haben hier eine wunderschöne Woche verbracht. Die Ausstattung war gut...alles was man im normalen Leben braucht :-) In der Küche war alles ausreichend vorhanden. Die Badezimmer sind toll, vorallem das im Erdgeschoss. Alle 3 Schlafzimmer haben tolle bequeme Doppelbetten """ein Kissen mehr wäre toll gewesen, und evtl. ein Fliegengitter an einem der Fenster"""...einen Kleiderschrank mit Fernseher.
Das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich ausgestattet.
Eigentlich sieht alles genauso aus wie auf den Fotos des Eigentümers "vielleicht hier und da kleine Veränderungen". Die Terrasse ist mega schön. Wir würden Blickfang zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Die Gegend ist entspannend ruhig. *Sehr netter Hausmeister :-) *
Hätte ich fast vergessen...die Pizza unten aus der Pizzeria war fantastisch!!!!!!!
