Numerous hiking trails and roads crisscross the impressive Biokovo mountain range with its caves, gorges, and waterfalls. From the high plateaus, peak conquerors and mountain bikers can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the picturesque towns and the offshore islands.
Holiday destination
Shopping facilities, cafes, and restaurants can be found within a radius of 100 – 600 m.
There are tennis courts, naturist beaches, and hiking trails on site, as well as walking and footpaths along the coast, pine forests, and the crystal-clear sea.
Many pines and palm trees stand between the houses. It takes about 5 minutes on foot to reach the center. Full-day excursions with a tour boat to the islands of Hvar, Peljesac, and Brac are offered.
Hiking trails are available in nature. Rafting on the Cetina River is very popular with guests.
Getting there
You will take the A1 motorway from Zagreb towards Dubrovnik and exit at "Zagvozd" approximately 45 km after Split. Then, drive through the "Sveti Ilija" tunnel until you reach the roundabout, where you will take the 3rd exit towards Dubrovnik/Makarska. After 8 km, you will arrive in Makarska and continue in the direction of Dubrovnik. From Makarska, it is about 32 km to Zaostrog. Turn right and then immediately turn left at the sea. Here you will drive along the "Village road by the beach". After approximately 900 m, you will recognize the holiday home on the left side.
The distance to Split airport is about 90 km.
The distance to Dubrovnik airport is approximately 120 km.

Erstaunliche Lage im ruhigen Teil von Zaostrog, aber dennoch in der Nähe von Restaurants und Cafés. Näher am Strand kann man nicht wohnen als in diesem Haus. Das Apartment war sauber und schön. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür. Fast kein Verkehr. Jela als Gastgeberin ist erstaunlich und freundlich. Sie lässt einen sehr willkommen fühlen. Ich kann diesen Ort wärmstens empfehlen und wünschte, ich könnte mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸.

Die Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben. Es fehlt an nichts. Das Haus ist wirklich nur 5 m vom Meer entfernt. Die Vermieter sind super nett. Parkplätze befinden sich direkt vor dem Haus. Liegen und Sonnenschirme stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung. Wir haben dort nie gekocht. Allerdings sind alle Utensilien für die Selbstverpflegung vorhanden. Ein kleiner Supermarkt sowie Restaurants und eine Eisdiele sind fußläufig erreichbar.
Nicht zu vergessen die gute Fee des Hauses. Das ist nicht mit Gold aufzuwiegen. Wir werden sie sehr vermissen.
Nächstes Jahr werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder nach Zaostrog kommen.
Wir waren in der Nebensaison dort. Es war nicht so viel los.
Aber ich denke, dass es auch in der Hochsaison, da es dort keine Schlafburgen gibt, erträglich ist.
Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub und werden auf jeden Fall zurückkommen.
