Holiday destination
These beautiful holiday apartments are situated in a historic water mill building amidst pure nature. The area is Wittgenstein in the Rothaargebirge (Red Hair Mountain Range), a densely forested region with rolling hills.
This like the adjacent Hochsauerland area has been a refuge for hikers and other recreation seekers from the Netherlands for decades. For some unknown reason the British and US travellers have not yet discovered this beautiful spot. Being a very anglophile person (spent three years in the UK) the proprietor wants to offer this apartment to UK and US nature lovers.
Some 80% of the region is covered with dense forest, mostly of spruce and beech. The narrow valleys between the hills are pastureland.

Wir haben ein Familientreffen mit 13 Personen gemacht - alle Schlafräume gut eingerichtet, Wohn-/Essraum je auf beiden Etagen, so dass an großen Tischen alle Platz fanden, aber auch Tische beiseite gestellt werden konnten für eine kleinere Runde. Insgesamt alles sehr geschmackvoll! Auch die Küchenbereiche sind gut und qualitativ hochwertig ausgestattet. Schade, dass das touristische Angebot an diesem Wochenende etwas eingeschränkt war - aber das hat ja nichts mit dem Haus zu tun. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man sich selbst versorgen möchte

wir waren mit 11 Personen und 4 Hunden dort und hatten einen sehr entspannten Urlaub, es war alles sauber, die Küchen waren gut ausgestattet, der Grill sauber und sehr gut. Platz war reichlich vorhanden, die Zimmer waren schön und die Betten bequem. Wander-und Gassiwege sind diekt vor der Tür. Wir planen nächstes Jahr wiederzukommen.
