to the mountain landscape of the Ötztal valley. Why not make a detour to South Tyrol - the Timmelsjoch will take you straight to Merano.
Getting there
At the entrance to the Ötztal (Ötztaler Höhe), drive into the valley past the towns of Sautens, Ötz, Umhausen and Längenfeld in the direction of Sölden - at the Mühlau district - turn right (signpost on the right-hand side of the road - A3 Granstein); and then simply follow the road for 1.3 km - past the first individual houses - on a small hill you come to a collection of houses - there please turn right after the small chapel, the 2nd house on the right. "Haus Berthold" lettering has been painted onto the garage.
