This is a very beautiful place for a honeymoon, a wedding anniversary, for writing, for reading a good book (books available too in different languages!), but if you like to be more active: there are lots of opportunities to explore the countryside by foot, bicycle or by car.
Holiday destination
The Kaakberg is next to our house. beautiful located in the countryside at the IJsselmeer dike very near Edam, an old "cheese’ town. You can go to the North Sea, the bulb fields etc. It is a great place for bird watching and if you like horses you can watch the neighbor training his horses at sunset.
Getting there
From Amsterdam it is 25 km by car. There is a bus to Edam. The apartment is 5 km from the busstation in Edam. There is no public transportation, but we offer two bikes for the guests.

Wir haben einige Frühlingstage im Kaakberg genossen und waren einfach begeistert. Es ist sogar noch schöner, als die Bilder vermuten lassen. Das Haus ist so liebevoll eingerichtet, frische Blumen begrüßten uns überall und die Sauna sowie der Whirlpool sind natürlich ein Traum. Die kurze Entfernung nach Amsterdam und zu vielen anderen schönen Städten war ebenfalls großartig. Die Vermieter waren stets hilfsbereit und sind super nett und freundlich. Vielen Dank für diese schönen Tage - wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen. Ruhig gelegen am Deich mit wunderschönem Blick auf das Markermeer und die Polder von der ersten und zweiten Etage. Die Sauna, der Jacuzzi, die Küche und die ausgezeichnete Internetverbindung ermöglichen es Ihnen ebenfalls, sich zu entspannen und Mahlzeiten zu genießen, ohne das Haus verlassen zu müssen. Sehr empfehlenswert!
