The Nederland-Schoon Foundation has awarded Oostkapelle several times with the prize for the most beautiful seaside resort in the Netherlands and the cleanest beach. The holiday park Hoge Weide is only about 800 meters from the beach. It has a play meadow, sandbox, swings, and is a little paradise for children. The beach is quickly accessible on foot or by bike. In Domburg (5 km away), for example, you can enjoy a lovely stroll. Middelburg, the nearest larger city, has a lot of charm and nice shopping opportunities. Veere is known for its beautiful marina.
