Every year in September, nature lovers can look forward to a very special spectacle: 50,000 to 60,000 cranes make their way south to the region for a break. There are several spots from which you can watch the trumpeting birds.
The Darßer Arche in Wieck offers guided hikes to observation sites.

Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Ruhige Lage in einer Sackgasse, riesiges Grundstück mit gut durchdachter Bepflanzung, die für ausreichend Privatsphäre sorgt. Ausreichend Gartenmöbel in gutem Zustand, inkl Strandkorb. Ausstattung im Haus absolut in Ordnung. Schöner Wintergarten, durch die riesigen Fenster allerdings bei Sonnenschein sehr starke Erwärmung, insbesondere im Bereich der Kücheninsel und des oberen Flures.
Der Hausmeister-Service hat kleine Mängel schnellstmöglich behoben, danke dafür!
Für Ausflüge und Besorgungen sind Fahrräder absolut empfehlenswert, da es doch recht weite Wege sind und das Parken i.d.R nur mit Parkschein (und teilweise fast unverschämten Tarifen) möglich ist.
Insgesamt ist das Haus absolut zu empfehlen, wenn man mobil ist und nicht im Zentrum oder in Strandnähe wohnen will.
