The beaches in Cala Liberotto are often referred to as the ultimate snorkeling paradise. But even just sunbathing here is pure pleasure.
All kinds of water sports are available at the beaches.
Hiking starts about 300 meters away, directly in the hills opposite.
There are several diving schools and surfboard rentals.
Activities include: Fishing, Swimming, Cycling, Horseback Riding, Sailing, Surfing, Diving, Tennis, Hiking, Mountain Hiking, Boat Charters.
During the season, there are guided tours and activities such as canyoning.
Excursion options include boat trips to inaccessible coves and to the Bue Marino Cave, the Ispinigoli stalactite cave, the numerous Nuraghi, and so on.
Orosei (11 km away) has a historic old town, and those interested in culture will find the millennia-old Nuraghi and tombs nearby. In Sardinia, not everywhere charges an entrance fee for interesting sites.
Holiday destination
In Sos Alinos, you'll experience a very pleasant and usually not overcrowded holiday atmosphere. All tourist amenities, several restaurants, and good shopping opportunities (large supermarket within a 2-minute walk) are available in the immediate vicinity. For a leisurely stroll, Orosei with its beautiful historic old town is inviting (10 minutes by car). Even in winter or the off-season, you'll find a large supermarket and a few restaurants close to the apartment, so it's not a completely dead area in winter. For the off-season, we offer heating options (wall-mounted energy-saving heaters and two air conditioners).
The apartment is less than an hour's drive from Olbia (airport and ferry port) and just over 2 hours from Alghero (ferry port). Even Cagliari Airport is easily accessible via the highway in about 2.5 to 3 hours' drive.
The immediate surroundings with the Mediterranean hills and the 5 stunning beaches, which start at about 900 m (10 to 15 minutes on foot), are beautiful and extremely relaxing. Here you can truly unwind. There are hiking opportunities directly opposite in the magnificent hilly rocky world of Sardinia. You just cross the street, take a few steps, and you're on your way to great tours.
Getting there
There are always better flight connections to Olbia from Germany. At least during the season from March to the end of October... Many people from southern Germany, Austria, and of course the Swiss only need a few hours by car to Genoa. There, take the ferry at night with a cabin and after sleeping, in the morning, smell the fresh scent of the maquis (the local herbs and shrubs of Sardinia) while driving down. It hardly gets any better...
Some ferries also operate during the off-season and winter, which is always absolutely worth it!
The port and the airport of Olbia can be reached by car within about 1 hour (80 km). Alghero is 2 hours away, Cagliari 2.5 hours by car via the highway.
During the season, there are charter flights.
The ferry crossing can be done from Genoa, Livorno, La Spezia, Piombino, and Civitavecchia.
In the summer, there are sometimes high-speed ferries.
