Villa Sarah sits in a very peaceful location on the outskirts of Pitsidia (750m).
Matala with its 'hippie caves' is 4.6km away.
It takes around 30 minutes to walk Komos beach.
The ancient archaeological site of Festos with its famous excavations is around 11km away.
Pitsidia sits in the south on the island of Crete, about 1 hour's drive from Heraklion airport.
Pitsidia is home to a dentist, a pharmacy, a bakery, a butcher's, several small "supermarkets" and lots of nice restaurants. You'll also find similar offerings in the neighbouring towns and villages of Matala, Sivas (3.5km), Kamilari (4.5km) and Kalamaki.
You'll find doctors and a health centre in nearby Mires (11km) and Tymbaki (11km). Both are bustling little supply towns that host a lively market once a week.
Getting there
Travel to Heraklion Airport and then your best option is to take a rental car or a taxi to Pitsidia
Ferry via Ancona-Patras and Piraeus-Heraklion

Wunderschön auf einer Anhöhe gelegen, es ist ein wirklich großes Haus, 4 Schlafzimmern mit eigener Terrasse und Meerblick, riesiges Wohnzimmer, hochwertig ausgestattete Küche, Grillzone, Carport überdacht, Pool mit großer Sonnenterrasse , Kinderpool, großer Garten, viel Platz zum Spielen oder Parken. Perfekt für eine große Familie oder Urlaub mit Freunden. Pitsidia ist leicht zu Fuß erreichbar. Keine nähere Nachbarschaft da die Häuser weit auseinander stehen._x000D_
Wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt._x000D_
Selbst bei 40 Grad war es angenehm da immer ein frischer Wind vom Meer oder aus den Bergen kam. PERFEKTER URLAUB

Riesiges Haus mit hohen Decken und vielen Fenstern sodas selbst die größere Hitzewelle fast ohne Aircondition zu bewältigen ist. Meerblick im Wohnzimmer, der Küche und in den 4 Schlafzimmern. Jedes Zimmer mit Terrasse zum Meer._x000D_
Carport und Parkplätze im Schatten für 4 Autos. Toller Pool natürlich auch mit Meerblick. UND für mich das Highlight war die extra Grill Terrasse mit großem Grill und Holzofen. Wir waren mit Freunden dort und haben den Grill heiß laufen lassen._x000D_
Der kleine Ort Pitsidia mit Supermärkten, Restaurants und Bars ist nur 700 Meter entfernt. Der Strand zu Fuß und querfeldein ca 1 km. Kalamaki ist auch super zu Fuß zu erreichen in ca. 2.5 km Entfernung. Man kann natürlich auch das Auto benutzen._x000D_
Matala mit seinen Höhlen ist mit den Auto nur 5 km entfernt. Die Restaurants sind aber in jedem Ort klasse._x000D_
Ein toller Ort, ein toller Urlaub.
