Holiday destination
The Lauwersmeer Marina is located right in the heart of the nature park of the same name. In one of the most beautiful areas of the Netherlands, just a few minutes away from the Wadden Sea (North Sea).
Near the marina, there is a small boat rental if you want to explore Lauwersmeer from the water.

Getting there
Coming from Northern Germany, take the A1, A28, and A31 to the Dutch border at Bunde. Then follow the A7 to Friesestraatweg in Groningen, from where you take the N355 to Oostmahorn.
Coming from Southern Germany, it's best to take the A7, switch to the A44 at Kassel, then to the A33 at Paderborn, continue over Osnabrück on the A30, and then onto the A31 to Meppen. From there, continue on the A37 until you switch to the N34 towards Emmen. After a very short stretch on the N34, you will reach your exclusive houseboat in Oostmahorn via the N381, N31, N356.

Wir haben eine erholsame und spannende Woche mit unseren Enkelkindern auf dem gut ausgestatteten Hausboot verbracht. Das Hausboot war sauber und ordentlich und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Jeden Morgen haben wir das Frühstück mit Blick auf das Wasser genossen. Abends wurde der Kamin angeheizt und es war sooo gemütlich. Die Umgebung lädt zu vielen Unternehmungen ein.
Hervorzuheben ist auch der nette Kontakt zum Team vom Jachthaven. Es hat alles super geklappt, wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir haben 2 1/2 Wochen einen sehr erholsamen und besonderen Urlaub verbracht. Das Hausboot ist gut ausgestattet (Kühlschrank erneuern!) und hat einen ruhigen Platz im Yachthafen. Sehr sinnvoll sind die Fliegengitter. Eine Bootsleiter gleich ins Wasser wäre perfekt gewesen. Für 2 Personen ist das Boot groß genug, für 4 aber recht eng (waren 5 Tage zu Viert). Aber es hat trotzdem allen Spaß gemacht. Besonders das Essen auf der hinteren Terrasse mit Blick aufs Wasser, die Natur und die vielen "gefiederten Gäste" war toll. Gut war auch, dass wir unsere 2 E-Bikes auf dem Eingangsdeck abstellen konnten. Die 2 vorhanden Räder sind u. E. nicht mehr nutzbar. Zähler für Gas und Wasser wären sinnvoll wegen Wechsel/Zulauf. Hatten sehr nette Bootsnachbarn! Danke für die schöne Zeit!

Vielen Dank für Ihre ausführliche und positive Rückmeldung zu Ihrem Aufenthalt auf unserem Hausboot! Es freut uns sehr, dass Sie einen erholsamen und besonderen Urlaub bei uns verbringen konnten und die Zeit am Wasser so genossen haben.
Ihre Anmerkungen nehmen wir uns sehr zu Herzen: Die Fahrräder sind inzwischen bereits entsorgt und ein neuer Kühlschrank wird in Kürze eingebaut. Auch Ihre weiteren Hinweise, wie z. B. zur Bootsleiter oder zu den Zählern, sind für uns sehr wertvoll – wir prüfen laufend, wie wir den Komfort für unsere Gäste weiter verbessern können.
