The northern Wittow peninsula is ideal for cycling thanks to its flat lagoon landscapes. You can, for example, ride from Vitt, Goor, Dranske, Kreptitzer Heide, Altenkirchen, Wiek, Kuhle, Juliusruh, and Breege. You can even rent bikes in advance. For example, if you make a reservation at www.ruegen-travel.de/ruegen-fahrrad-verleih-mieten.php, the bikes will be delivered to the “Rügenspitze” apartment building.
Holiday destination
The Wittow peninsula offers enchanting variety with meadows, fields, forests, sandy beaches, stone beaches, steep banks, and fantastic views of the Baltic Sea. In Putgarten and Kap Arkona, there are various restaurants, boutiques, handicrafts, a playground, an old bunker with maritime exhibitions, and, of course, great lighthouses. The picturesque fishing village of Vitt is also nearby.
Getting there
From Stralsund, follow the B96 to Sagard. Shortly before Sagard, turn left towards Glowe. Follow the road until you reach Juliusruh. Shortly before the petrol station in Altenkirchen, turn right, and follow the signs towards Kap Arkona. Drive past the large parking lot in Putgarten, and turn right into the one-way street. Cross the village past Rügenhof to the old school. The Rügenspitze apartment building is located on the left side – right next to the old school.

Wir haben uns in dieser schönen Ferienwohnung eine kleine Auszeit gegönnt und hatten sogar als Familie zu dritt genügend Platz, da ein gemütliches Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer vorhanden ist. Man sieht der Wohnung (und dem ganzen Haus) an, dass es liebevoll gepflegt wird und in Sachen Ausstattung auch mitgedacht wird. Die Vermieter sind darüberhinaus sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Strand und der Leuchtturm sind fußläufig gut erreichbar und auf dem Weg dahin kann man die Natur genießen. Außerdem ist es herrlich, den schönen Rundumblick oder den tollen Strand zu haben, und dort natürlich auch unzählige Steine sowie schöne Sonnenauf- oder untergänge bewundern kann. Andere Ausflugsziele auf der Insel sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Vielen Dank für die schöne Unterkunft! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war jetzt schon das zweite mal in dieser Ferienwohnung.Das Bett war sehr bequem, die Einrichtung schön und alles an Gebrauchsgegenständen, die man benötigt, war vorhanden.
