Other recreational opportunities
For our youngest guests, there is a playground in our 2000 sqm indoor garden.
For the older ones, we have a separate playground next to the building and, additionally, during the high season, a 3000 sqm playing field perfect for volleyball or football - also excellently suited for flying kites.
Holiday destination
Our beautiful apartment is located in the renowned Amelander Paradijs in the town of Buren. Buren is situated in the east on the beautiful island of Ameland, also known as "Waddendiamant Ameland." The town offers you shops, restaurants, and cafes. An indoor swimming pool, as well as a supermarket, are also available and within a few minutes' walk. Here, both young and old will enjoy a great bowling area as well as the opportunity to play mini-golf. Buren is surrounded by meadows and nature reserves and is only a few hundred meters away from the extensive sandy beach.
Ameland is known for its many beautiful bicycle paths. A bicycle rental shop (about 100 meters away) has an excellent selection of various bikes ready for you.
Getting there
Travel to the ferry terminal in Holwerd is conveniently done by car from all directions. If you wish to take your car onto the island, we recommend making a car reservation in advance at www.wpd.nl.
If you prefer to travel by train, your usual destination station will be Leeuwarden - from there, you can quickly and comfortably take a taxi to Holwerd for about 40 euros, or even more affordably with a subsequent bus ride. The taxi ride takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic, while the bus journey takes around 50 minutes.
