Cochem is located on the beautiful river Moselle. Cond is located on Cochem's sunny side. It is also more quiet there and offers the best view. Cochem is the ideal starting point for a variety of excursions: Hunsrück, Eifel, Luxembourg, Trier, Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach, Beilstein, Coblenz, a golf resort, ship excursions, Rhine, volcanic maars, Mayen, hiking on the most stunning trails, exploring the new Moselsteig trail, wine tastings, indulging in regional culinary delights.
Getting there
Take the A61, exit Mendig, take the A48 via Mayen, towards Trier, exit Kaisersesch, towards Cochem, cross the "alte Moselbrücke" (bridge), turn right onto Valwigerstraße, continue towards Valwig, after about 100m, you'll see the house no. 20 on the right.

Die FW war sehr schön und gemütlich, Balkon mit dem Blick auf die Reichsburg.
Leider waren wir etwas zu früh in Cochem, viele Restaurant hatten noch geschlossen und das gleich war bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Reichsburg war geöffnet.
Trotzdem haben wir jeden Abend Restaurant gefunden, halt nicht direkt an der Moselpromenade, sehr gut gegessen.

Hallo Karlheinz , da haben Sie leider recht. In den Wintermonaten Januar , Februar und März, sind viele Restaurants und Geschäfte geschlossen, was auch uns Einheimische sehr ärgert. Dieses Problem existiert im Winter an der ganzen Mosel.
Aber nichts desto trotz, haben wir auch im Winter wunderschöne Wanderwege und eine wunderbare Stille.
Es freut mich aber trotzdem , dass Sie ein paar schöne Tage hatten
