Baderna is a small town in Poreština, 13 km east of Poreč and 19 km southwest of Pazin. It lies at the intersection of state roads Poreč–Pazin–Rijeka (D-48, D-302) through the Učka and Pula–Kopar–Trieste tunnels (D-21). The inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. Considering the position at the crossroads, transit tourism is also important. The settlement has the character of a castle, and the entire area was inhabited in Roman times.
