About a kilometer away you will find several quiet, dream beaches where you can do all kinds of water sports, including surfing... Sagres is located in the middle of the Costa Vicentina coastal nature reserve and is the starting or finishing point for the Rota Vicentina and Via Algarviana walking routes. Put on your hiking boots or hop on your bike to discover this breathtaking area! Of course you can also go by car... In Sagres you will find more than 40 restaurants serving delicious local and international cuisine. Fresh fish and seafood are a given here, but it's also not hard to find a good piece of meat or a delicious vegetarian or vegan dish. Don't forget to visit the lighthouse at Cabo São Vicente and the fortress of Henry the Navigator.

Getting there

Car/Taxi: When you reach Sagres, turn left immediately after the Oliveirinha restaurant and after 50 meters turn left and park your car. The house is behind you, on the other side of the street. By bus: The bus from Lagos stops at the first stop in Sagres. Press the button in time! Cross the main street and go onto the street immediately after the Oliveirinha restaurant. After 50 meters, in the right bend, you will find the house on the right. The bus from Lisbon only stops in the center of the village. After disembarking, call +351910350463 (WhatsApp) and we will pick you and your luggage up. On foot or by bike (Rota Vicentina or Via Algarviana) Please call +351910350463 (WhatsApp?) as soon as you reach Sagres or the lighthouse and we will collect you and your luggage.

We have lived in beautiful Sagres for years with our son Dinis, dog Lua and cat Mia and Casinha Vale is the small holiday home next to our own home. Although we live at the end of the world, we love meeting people from all over the world and introducing them to the breathtaking nature, warm culture and delicious gastronomy of our region. Wir haben uns hier vom ersten Moment an sehr willkommen gefuehlt. Die Unterkunft war gemuetlich und ruhig. Besonders gefallen haben uns die entspannte Atmosphaere, die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und der tolle Ausflug mit Vicentina E-Bike Tours, durch den wir die Umgebung auf eine ganz besondere Weise kennenlernen konnten. Vielen Dank an Ryan. Auch der liebe Hund ist uns schnell ans Herz gewachsen und hat den Aufenthalt zusätzlich bereichert. Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit hilfsbereit und haben viele gute Tipps gegeben. Insgesamt verging die Zeit leider viel zu schnell, wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Vielen Dank für die wunderschoene Zeit!

We had a wonderfull time at Rute's place. Marc and Rute are lovely hosts and will help with everything you need. They know the area very well and gave us wonderfull recommendations, where to go, where to eat and what to try. There's a small garden outside where you can enjoy the sun. The kitchen is fully equiped and they even had a beach towel for us. There's convenient parking nearby, but often we chose to walk instead, to the supermarket, town, restaurant, beach etc. We will stay again when we return to Sagres.
