Cancellation policy
The following cancellation fees apply:
Up to 3 months before arrival: free of charge
3 months to 1 month before arrival: 40% of total price
1 month to 1 week before arrival: 70% of total price
Within the last week before arrival: 90% of total price
In case of no-show or early departure, the full rental price will be charged. If arrival is impossible due to unforeseeable extraordinary circumstances (e.g. extreme snowfall, flooding), payment for the affected days is waived. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

Mühlbach am Hochkönig is situated at 860 metres in the Salzburg region, at the foot of the majestic Hochkönig massif (2,941 m) – the highest mountain range in the Berchtesgaden Alps. Together with the neighbouring villages of Maria Alm and Dienten, it forms the Hochkönig holiday region, offering diverse experiences all year round.
Winter: The Hochkönig ski area is part of the legendary Ski amadé network – with 120 perfectly groomed kilometres of slopes on-site and access to a total of 760 kilometres across five regions. The famous "Königstour" covers 6 summits, 35 kilometres of slopes and 7,500 metres of altitude – rated as the best ski circuit in the Alps. The winter experience is complemented by 40 km of cross-country trails, toboggan runs, winter hiking paths and the Kingspark snowpark.
Summer: Over 340 km of hiking trails open up the alpine mountain world. With the included Hochkönig Card, guests enjoy free use of mountain lifts and hiking buses. The "Animal Village" with over 30 animal attractions delights families, while the Mitterberg Ore Trail traces 5,000 years of mining history. The Mining Museum with its show tunnel is a cultural highlight.
Nearby excursions: The spectacular Liechtensteinklamm gorge near St. Johann is one of the deepest wild water canyons in the Alps. Hohenwerfen Fortress impresses with its birds of prey shows, and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road leads to Austria's highest peak. Several thermal spas in the area – including Alpentherme Gastein and Tauern Spa in Kaprun – invite relaxation.
Getting there
By car: Via the A10 Tauern motorway, exit Bischofshofen. From there approx. 15 minutes via the B164 to Mühlbach am Hochkönig. From Munich approx. 2 hours, from Salzburg approx. 1 hour. Free parking directly at the chalet – 5 spaces, 4 of which are covered. EV charging station (Type 2) available.
By train: Nearest station is Bischofshofen (approx. 12 km), with ICE/EC connections from Germany and Austria. Transfer to the chalet available on request.
By plane: Salzburg Airport (approx. 60 km / 1 hour), Munich Airport (approx. 200 km / 2 hours), Innsbruck Airport (approx. 180 km / 2 hours). Rental car recommended.
