Right in front of the site is the Wadden Sea with the kilometers-long dike, the perfect starting point for cycling and hiking tours with your dog.
The Stormvogel is also an ideal starting point for short and long cycling tours through the bike-friendly Netherlands. Well-maintained bike paths make riding with a dog trailer comfortable and enjoyable for both dog and owner!
Holiday destination
The campsite is located directly on the Wadden Sea. About 600 meters away is the Amstelmeer, a large freshwater lake with a bathing beach and restaurant. The port city of Den Helder with ferry connections to Texel is approximately 14 km away. The nearly endless North Sea beach is reachable within 12 km. The historic city of Alkmaar is just under 40 km away, Amsterdam just under 80 km.
Numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities are within a 2 km radius. The Ijsselmeer with its many old port towns and villages is about 10 km away. Further detailed information with photos can be found on our website:

Getting there
The journey by car is an experience in itself when you drive over the 32km long causeway (Afsluitdijk) or the approximately equally long Houtribdijk from Lelystad to Enkhuizen. For those who prefer to relax on the train... the train station is located in Anna Paulowna with a direct Intercity connection to Amsterdam.

Wir wahren zu zweit mit unserer Hündin im schönen Chalet von Moni und Helmut. Wir können es sehr weiterempfehlen. Sehr schöne, gepflegte Einrichtung. Alles top sauber. Es gibt rundum viel zu erleben, schöne Strände, an alle darf man mit Hund gehen und schöne kleine Städte rundherum. Wir kommen bestimmt wiedermal. Hat alles Reibungslos funktioniert.

Wir können dies nur zu gerne weiter empfehlen! Klein aber fein trifft es sehr gut und ist wunderbar gelegen und einfach auch wunderschön! Die Gastgeber waren immer erreichbar, sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.
