Holiday destination
Wiek, formerly a fishing village, is now a small state-approved resort on Rügen's Wittow peninsula.
Wiek has a beautiful harbor, various shops, bakery, restaurants, boat and bike rentals, as well as a doctor and bank. A surf school, a 6-hole golf course, and a riding stable are also in the vicinity.
From Wiek, the island can be explored by bike, on foot, or by car at any time of the year:
e.g. excursions to Cape Arkona with its three lighthouses and to the little fishing village of Vitt, steamboat trips out to the Störtebeker Festival on the Ralswiek open-air stage, trips to the Königsstuhl, to Rügen's famous chalk-lined coast and to Lake Hiddensee. The island's capital, Bergen, has several shopping centres.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in einer schönen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung. Es fehlte an nichts. Darüber hinaus war der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter äußerst freundlich und sehr angenehm. Vielen Dank.
