The beaches of Oostkapelle have received several awards. In 2011, the beach was once again (continuously every year since 1990) awarded the international "Blue Flag" environmental prize. It guarantees high quality bathing water and a well-maintained clean beach.

Oostkapelle can be reached via various routes:
From Amsterdam/Rotterdam: Haringvliet Bridge – Grevelingendam - Oosterscheldekering, via North Beveland, follow the signs to Oostkapelle.
From Utrecht/North/East: Utrecht – Breda - Bergen op Zoom – Middelburg - Oostkapelle.
From Aachen/Cologne: Belgian motorway to Antwerp, "Ring 2" then direction Bergen op Zoom/Netherlands, then follow the signs to Middelburg - Oostkapelle. Cologne-Oostkapelle 300 km.
From Düsseldorf: Motorway via Mönchengladbach to the border before Venlo- motorway all the way to Eindhoven – Breda - Bergen op Zoom – Middelburg - Oostkapelle. Düsseldorf-Oostkapelle 280 km.

Die Vermieter (ein Ehepaar) sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, telefonisch leicht erreichbar und sprechen Deutsch. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und es gibt einen Parkplatz. Der Strand ist etwa 30 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, und Domburg ist etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt.

Wunderschöne Wohnung in hervorragender Lage. Schön vollständig möbliert und ordentlich sauber. Geschäfte und Restaurants gleich um die Ecke und der Strand in der Nähe. Darüber hinaus ist es eine ideale Basis für Radtouren nach Veere, Domburg, Middelburg und anderen schönen Orten. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
