Ameland, a beautiful island with lovely beaches and dunes and a nature reserve, quaint villages and tourist attractions, is ideal for taking walks and riding bikes.
The island’s meadows, woods, and fine sandy beaches offer plenty of enjoyment.
There is a pony and horse manege and rides in the woods and on the beach are possible.
Getting there
Your holiday really starts in Holwerd, where you take the ferry to Ameland. The passage takes 45 minutes. You can reach De Dijkwachter in 7 minutes by car from the harbor in Ameland.
