Holiday destination
Brandberg, also known as the "Sun Village," is a small, cozy holiday village on the southern slope of the Zillergrund (Zillergrund, a side valley of the rear Zillertal, branching off at Mayrhofen and flowed through by the Ziller river). The municipality's area covers almost the entire Zillergrund and extends to the border of South Tyrol (Italy). Thanks to its south-facing position, the municipality enjoys all-day sunlight.
The main sources of income are agriculture and tourism, with Brandberg promoting gentle tourism as opposed to places like Mayrhofen. In addition, the production of electrical energy (Zillergründl reservoir with power station) plays a role. In the side valleys of the Zillergründl, mainly alpine farming is practiced.
Getting there
Take the A12 motorway to the Zillertal exit. Then take the Zillertaler Bundesstr. B169 until just before Mayrhofen. Now you need to turn left towards the tunnel.
Now drive through the tunnel. After the tunnel, turn right towards Brandberg.

An und für sich ist es eine tolle Ferienwohnung. Sie ist ausreichend groß für 2 Personen, sehr sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet.
Einen Minuspunkt gibt es dafür, dass sich KEINE Waschmaschine in der Wohnung befindet und auch kein Grill. Nach Absprache mit den Vermietern hätten diese unsere Wäsche gewaschen, aber das war für uns keine Option.
Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn man fragen hatte, konnte man sie jederzeit kontaktieren.
Hier jedoch gibt es ebenfalls einen Minuspunkt, da die Vermieter zum Teil spontan oder auch unangekündigt auf unseren Balkon kam, um die Pflanzen zu Gießen. Wir hätten uns an der Stelle über eine konkrete Absprache gefreut.
