If you take the pathway Eschenlohe you may reach the village St. Pankraz which is 4 km away. It offers 2 shops, 2 restaurants and a beautiful Gothic church. Your hiking week can start with a hike to the beautiful mountain village Pawigl which is located above Lana. Afterwards you may discover the beauty of the hiking paradise Ultental. Within a radius of 30 km the Etschtal offers numerous attractions: Meran with it's arches and hot springs, Bozen with it's Saturday market, Ötzi museum, the new mountain museum of Reinhold Messner in castle Sigmundskron, the Montiggler lakes close to Girlan, the gardens at castle Trauttmannsdorff close to Meran, castle Tirol and many other things.
Getting there
Take the Brenner motorway to exit Bozen Süd, from here take freeway MeBo direction Meran to exit Meran Süd/ Industriezone Lana, from here to Lana then right to Ultental. After 6,5 km take Bergstraße right to Guggenberg (2km to Gruebhof).

Wir haben das Haus für einen 50sten Geburtstag gebucht. Viele Gäste, inkl. Kinder, ein Ankommen und Abreisen.... Das Haus war genau passend - top ausgestattete Küche, Innenbereich sauber und gepflegt und wunderschöner Außenbereich. Die Kommunikation vor der Anreise wie auch vor Ort war mit Franz immer unkompliziert.

Es war mir eine Freude, am Ende der Saison diese bunt gemischte Gruppe von Gästen aus Deutschland, Italien, Polen, Frankreich, Norwegen und UK zu beherbergen. Sie haben einen 50sten Geburtstag gefeiert, ihre Freundschaft vertieft und den goldenen Südtiroler Herbst sowie die Vorzüge des Hauses wie Stube, Sauna, Sonnenplätze in vollen Zügen genossen.
