Holiday destination
Egmond aan Zee is a lively village with many shops and restaurants open all year round. The beach is the main attraction, where you can find various beautiful beach pavilions. The dunes behind the village are excellent for long hikes, and by bike, you can explore the surroundings wonderfully. By car, you can reach Alkmaar, known for its cheese market, in 20 minutes, and by train, you are in the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam in half an hour. North of Egmond aan Zee, above the coastal town of Bergen aan Zee, you will find the Schoorlse Duinen nature park. Here you can take beautiful walks and bike rides.
The CasaMare apartments are located directly by the sea, a paradise for sun worshippers, walkers, and cyclists. Once you've been to Egmond, you'll always return. There's plenty to do for both young and old. The former fishing village is hospitable and cozy. Stroll past the small shops and cafes to the lighthouse and the boulevard and watch the sun sink into the sea. Wander through the dune belt to one of the protected sandy paths in the area and find your way back.
