Cancellation policy

Free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before arrival. In this case, you will also receive a full refund of your deposit. For cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before arrival, the cancellation fee is 30% (minimum €50). For cancellations made between 7 and 2 days before arrival, the fee is 80% of the total price. For cancellations made less than 2 days before arrival, or in case of no-show, the cancellation fee is 100%.

You can begin many hikes directly from the house—for example, the Caspar David Friedrich Trail. This themed trail, approximately 15 km in length, follows in the footsteps of the famous Romantic painter to the very scenes that inspired his works. Highlights include 12 information panels featuring sketches by Friedrich, as well as the Kaiserkrone and the Wolfsberg.

Holiday destination

Krippen is a state-recognized resort town and a district of Bad Schandau. Located directly on the Elbe River, it's an ideal base for exploring Saxon Switzerland. Many attractions are easily accessible from Krippen, even without a car. Thanks to the "Gästekarte mobil" (guest card), public transport in the region is free. Numerous hiking trails lead directly from the town into the rocky landscape of Saxon Switzerland.

Getting there

You will usually arrive by car or on foot from the direction of Krippen town center. The house is accessed from Friedrich-Gottlob-Keller Straße. There is no access from Kleinhennersdorfer Straße. Therefore, you must turn right into the driveway before the turnoff towards Kleinhennersdorf and before the small bridge. The entrance to the vacation apartment is located at the rear of the house, the second of the two entrance doors (the white door). There is a parking space for this apartment behind the house (space 2). You can also park near the driveway by the railing by the stream. The key safe is located next to the entrance door to the vacation apartment.
