In the summertime every thursday morning there is an open air market with a parade in the West-Frisian style in Schagen. A city not far from Petten. Every Friday morning in Alkmaar there is a big Cheese market from 10.00 till 13.00 hour The season is from 30 march till 28 september. Near Petten there are some nice village like Schoorl ,Bergen and Callantsoog. There is a lot of nature in the surroundings.

Holiday destination

A well-looking and cosy apartment surrounded by the North-Sea beach, the 'Pettemer' forest and the dunes. All of this is on a walking distance of 50 meters.The distance to the Nordsee is 1000 meter. Countrified and calm location, with many villages close that you can visit on bike/walk or car distance. April is the most beautiful month of the year because that is when all the daffodils and tulips bloom around the house and it is beautiful to see so many different colors together.

Getting there

Petten is a small village between Alkmaar and Den helder in North Holland in the Netherlands. The beach is nearby the village. In the neighbourhood there are many other village's and towns to visit for exsample Alkmaar-Schoorl-Bergen-Egmond-Schagen and Den helder.

Die Wohnung ist perfekt. Die Ausstattung ist bedarfsgerecht. Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder und Hundeanhänger, Fahrradträger ist toll. Ruhige und doch zentrale Lage. Kurze Entfernungen, z.B. 200 m zum Wäldchen (Hundeauslaufgebiet), Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeit, Restaurants, Imbiss alles fußläufig erreichbar. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Lage. Der Weg ins Dorf und zum Strand ist nicht weit und gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Wir hatten ein tolles langes Wochenende in der Wohnung von Familie Van Rijn. Petten und die Umgebung ist wirklich sehr schön und immer eine Reise wert. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist durch eine steile Treppe zu erreichen, was für uns aber kein Problem war.
