Offers for golfers: Beautifully situated golf courses can be found in the neighboring towns of Bruinisse and Melissant. They offer a diverse and flexible program.

Holiday destination

The holiday home is located in the quiet outskirts of a spacious, family-friendly bungalow park in Herkingen (South Holland), which stands out with its old trees and large lawns and play areas. It's only a 5-minute walk from the holiday home to the swimming bay at the Grevelingen Sea. Here you can surf, sail, swim, fish, or start a cycling tour. At the restaurant by the harbor, you can watch the sailors. The holiday resort offers variety for every taste. Children enjoy the various play options, including on the playgrounds. There are also lawns available for football, handball, or volleyball, and the smooth paths are great for skating. Afterwards, you can cool off in the heated outdoor pool with a children's paddling pool (use is free, open from May to mid-September). For a fee, you can use the tennis court. The well-developed cycle paths throughout invite you to extensive bike tours. On our island alone, there are 270 km of bicycle paths. Popular excursion destinations include the cities of Zierikzee or the medieval-looking little town of Veere on the further southern peninsulas. Day trips to Amsterdam or Rotterdam (with harbor tour) are very popular. In the village, there is a bicycle rental service.

Getting there

Via Venlo, Eindhoven, Tilburg, towards Zierikzee to the peninsula Gorree-Overflakee, Oude Tonge, Herkingen. Rentals typically run from Friday to Friday, but Saturday to Saturday is also possible by arrangement.

Wir haben uns in dem schönen Ferienhaus sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war aber auch wirklich alles vorhanden, was man so in einem Urlaub braucht. Vor allem auch die Küchenausstattung. Das haben wir noch nicht oft so erlebt. Da merkt man halt, das die Eigentümer oft vor Ort sind. Und dann noch der schöne Garten mit der Terrasse mit Grillmöglichkeit. Und auch der Park hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war ruhig und wir sind nach Ausflügen auch noch gerne ins Freibad gegangen. Und wir konnten in Holland bzw.Zeeland viel Neues, z.B. Den Haag, Delft und Rotterdam entdecken. Zum Baden sind wir überwiegend nach Ouddorp bzw. an den Browersdam gefahren (ca. 30 Minuten Fahrzeit). So konnten wir uns in den zwei Wochen sehr gut erholen. Und kommen bestimmt auch gerne mal wieder.

Wir (fünfköpfige Familie), waren schon öfters in Holland in verschiedenen Ferienhäusern aber so ein gut ausgestattetes hatten wir bis jetzt noch nie. Alles da was man braucht. Es war alles sauber und ordentlich. Ein wunderschöner, eingezäunter Garten und der Pool, der mitgenutzt werden kann waren Highlights für die Kinder. Der Park ist ruhig und in ein paar Minuten ist man schon an einem kleinen Strand. Ganz bestimmt werden wir dieses Haus noch einmal besuchen.
