It is possible to participate hikes with a biologist from the island to learn more about the animals and plants in the nature reserve, our house is located in. If you have any questions, feel free to come and see us.
There is a bike and e-bike rental in the village. They offer a delivery service for your rented bikes as well.
Holiday destination
The house is located central on the island, surrounded by forests and fields right in front of the Nonnensee lake.
You can reach the next beach within a 15 minute drive.
Our house is perfectly located for bike tours, hikes, horseback rides and nature lovers in general.
For your daily errands, you can reach the next stores by bike or foot in about 1,5km.
The nature stage with the Störtebecker Festspiele are some villages away and just a short bike ride away.
Getting there
Our house is easy to reach by car and train. A transfer from the train station is possible on request.

Host informationOur house by the lake was bought by us in 2010, when we saved it from falling apart. The house was an old farmhouse and is over 100 years old. It was abandoned for years, before we bought it and build it back up. Since 2013 we rent out our 6 apartment to guests.

Wwir waren mit Hund und 2 Kindern (4+7j) gerade in der schönen Ferienwohnung Kastanie. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett und die Lage traumhaft mitten im Grünem. Alle Orte (Sassnitz, Stralsund, Thiessow, Strandbad) sind binnen weniger Fahrminuten erreichbar. Mehrere Supermärkte (Lidl, Netto, Kaufland) direkt 3 km entfernt in Bergen. Wetter war auch super und wenn es regnete konnte man auch in der schönen Wohnung bleiben oder am See die Kormorane beobachten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Ein super schöner Urlaub in einer traumhaften ruhigen Umgebung und eine Gastgeberin die keine wünsche offen lässt das Anglerhaus was wir hatten ist ein Traum
