The idyllic town of Domburg is surrounded by dunes, broad sandy beaches and dense forests and is the most sought-after seaside resort in the province of Zeeland.
The broad, sandy beaches stand out thanks to their timber groynes (known locally as 'Paalhoofden') that stick out into the sea. You'll find one of them in the house.
Domburg also has a lovely shopping street with several terraces and restaurants. A charming seasonal market is held on Mondays from the 15th of May to mid-October.
And there are lots of things to do in the high summer season.
Domburg has a great deal to offer for active tourists.
The De Manteling nature reserve sits right next to Domburg itself.
The Walcheren peninsula is an ideal place for beautiful cycling tours.

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub mit den Kindern und Enkelkindern.
Der Strand ist wunderschön. Wir konnten die hohen Wellen bewundern und unsere Drachen steigen lassen.
In der Umgebung sind viele schöne Spielplätze , so dass die Kinder immer wieder etwas neues entdecken konnten.
Es gab sogar ein paar Spiele in der Wohnung. Für unsere 10 Monate alte Enkelin ein Treppentörchen, so dass auch für die Sicherheit gesorgt war.
Also insgesamt ein gelungener Urlaub, der bei beständigerem Wetter bestimmt noch schöner gewesen wäre.
