Krk is the cultural center of the island of the same name, Krk, in the Kvarner Bay. The city with its almost unpronounceable name has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in northern Croatia over time.
Getting there
Krk is easily accessible no matter how you choose to travel. By bus or train, you travel to Rijeka and from there continue with the local bus lines (bus from Rijeka) or a rental car. You can reach the island itself via the Krk Bridge. Right at the beginning of the island, near Omisalj, is Rijeka Airport, which is served by many major airlines.
