Cancellation policy
If the tenant withdraws from the contract and no other renting is possible, the owner has a right to compensation according to the following sliding scale:
- 42 or more days before the start of the rental period: no cancellation fee - any deposit paid will be refunded
- up to 41 days before the start of the rental period: 15% of the rental price
- up to 30 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
- 29 to 2 days before the start of the rental: 80% of the rental price
- Cancellation within one day before the start of the rental or in the event of no-show: 100% of the rental price
The declaration of withdrawal must always be made in writing.
If the tenant arrives later or departs earlier, they have no right to a refund of part of the rental price.

Beautiful unobstructed views of mountains and valley. Location close to the centre: 10 minutes on foot to Grindelwald train station, the town centre, and to the valley station of the “First” gondola lift.
Quiet location away from the main road. Access to the chalet outside the ski season by car for loading/unloading. Public parking spaces outside the ski season on Terrassenweg approx. 300 m away or all year round 500m away (Eiger/sports centre parking; both not included in the rental price)
Getting there
Train: via Interlaken to Grindelwald
Car: either Bern-Interlaken-Grindelwald or Lucerne-Interlaken-Grindelwald
A car is not necessary for this chalet because there is excellent public transport nearby.
Plane: Zurich airport; from there, direct trains to Interlaken

Host informationWelcome! I am an electronics/IT engineer, ex-entrepreneur, ex-politician, and the owner of the chalet. The Chalet Bella Vista has been family-owned since it was built in 1951 and is also used by our family. We would like other families to also be able to enjoy their active holiday in this beautiful place.
In Grindelwald, you will experience one of the most beautiful high alpine landscapes in Switzerland. As a local expert for 70 years, I would be happy to advise you on the numerous options for making the most of your stay.
