Our tip: explore Ameland by bicycle. From the bungalow, you can quickly reach the lighthouse, Hollum woods, the dunes and the beach. Families will also enjoy a guided mudflat walk or a visit to one of the island’s museums.

Holiday destination

Hollum is the largest village on Ameland and also one of the island’s most authentic. Welcoming restaurants, cafés, terraces and small shops create a lively and inviting atmosphere. Narrow streets, historic façades and traditional captains’ houses give the village its distinctive character. The bakery, supermarket and bicycle rental are all within easy reach of the bungalow.

Getting there

You travel by ferry from Holwerd to Nes. You travel by bus, car or bicycle along the connecting road to Hollum. You will receive the access code from the landlord. From that moment on, the bungalow is your best place on Ameland.
