Cancellation policy
If the renter cannot commence their holiday due to unforeseen reasons and has to cancel their stay, the landlord will charge fees that can amount to up to 100% of the rental sum. By taking out travel cancellation insurance, the renter can protect themselves against this.
The fees are staggered as follows:
30% of the total sum if cancellation occurs up to 2 months before arrival
50% of the total sum if cancellation occurs up to 1 month before arrival
100% of the total sum if cancellation occurs 14 days before arrival.

Holiday destination
Water sports: The North Sea beach (approximately 28 km long) can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. There are a total of four guarded bathing beaches. An indoor swimming pool is located in the immediate vicinity.
Activities: Bowling and skittle alleys, mini golf, tennis courts, fishing opportunities. Boat trips, cycling, horse riding.
Near the village of Hollum, there is a beautifully located 9-hole golf course. In the village of Ballum, there is an airfield where scenic flights and parachute arrangements are available.

Thanks to excellent connections, Ameland is easy to reach.
Getting to Ameland
Ferry connection:
From Holwerd, ferries regularly depart to the island of Ameland. The crossing takes about 45 minutes.
Tickets for the crossing can be purchased at the counters in Holwerd or online.
If you wish to take your car, please make a reservation by phone well in advance.
Train/Bus:
The "OV-Reisinformatie" provides information on public transport.
Car:
Holwerd can be reached via Leeuwarden or from the east via Groningen, Drachten, Dokkum. Follow the ANWB signs marked Ameland. Cars can be parked in the parking lot directly at the dock (€4.50 per day).
